Sweet Potatoes for Dogs
Sweet potatoes are  tasty, full of antioxidants and fiber, plus dogs love them! Check out this quick 5-mins sweet potatoes recipe for your dog!
Sweet potatoes are one of the best vegetables for your dog - they are tasty, full of antioxidants and fiber, plus dogs love them! But for dogs to get all these benefits, sweet potatoes must be made the right way.

For dogs to digest sweet potatoes, they must be extremely well-cooked, as in, boiled very well and almost mashable. This has another benefit - it loosens the fiber in the sweet potatoes, thus making it even more digestible by your dog’s tummy AND adding bulk to his or her poop! A win-win! (as well all know being dog owners! LOL).

I DON’T believe in taking the skin off of the sweet potato - nope. Leave it there but just make sure you boil the sweet potatoes very well - that is it. The skin has so many nutrients and there is no need to waste your precious time peeling it away.

I have been feeding my dogs sweet potatoes since ever and about 2-3 times per week and have never ever had any issue - only seen benefits as in good digestion, great energy and skin, and healthy happy dogs.
For all those Western blogs writing how sweet potatoes should be fed in very small quantities and rarely given to dogs, I have to say I have the proof otherwise - you can feed sweet potatoes to your dog as many times as you like withOUT any fear.

It pissed me off how the Western system has done it’s best to keep dog owners in ‘fear mode’ and kept them away from the truth. Now, sweet potatoes are dangerous..?! Oh! Come on!! The only thing that is dangerous for your dog is kibble and those freaking nasty commercial dog treats!! This is a billion dollar industry and you (and your dog) are the victim of it - make no mistake about it.

Anyways, I love this recipe and like I said, make it 3-4 times a week. Of course, make sure your dog gets other veggies in his or her diet besides sweet potatoes so for example you can try my cabbage recipe next..and so on…as more recipes come out.

You can make a lot at one time so you have it ready for the week. I just like to make it fresh and with 8 dogs, it works better for me.
