Castor Oil for Dogs Tumors & Growths
One of the most revered oil in Ayurveda is castor oil due to its many healing properties. Find out in this article what it all it can do for your dog.
Castor oil is my most favorite oil when it comes to health and healing, be it for myself or my dogs. There is no oil that even comes close to castor oil and its healing properties - not even black seed oil. Period.

I have been rescuing and healing dogs holistically now for 20 years and I have used and still use castor oil as my favorite choice in many health situations when it comes to my dogs.

In this article, I am going to write about the many ways castor oil is used and has been used for health for centuries plus I will also teach you a few of my Ayurvedic remedies that you can easily use from the comfort of your home for taking care of your dog's health.

Let's see few of the main benefits of castor oil for your dog.

Castor Oil Properties in Ayurveda -

-In Ayurveda, castor oil is considered -

-Cooling in nature when applied externally and warming (Ushna) when taken internally

-Astringent (Kashaya in Ayurveda - cleansing and toning effects)

-Sticky (Picchila in Ayurveda - this property adds to its ultra deep moisturizing and healing effects)

-Pungent (Katu in Ayurveda - helps stimulate digestion and remove ama (toxins) from the body)

-Sweet, meaning Madhura in Ayurveda (nourishing, anabolic and supporting the tissues and cells)

-Heavy (Guru), Strengthening (Balyam), Penetrative (Tikshna),

-Purgative (Virechana) - thus helping to eliminate toxins and cleanse the digestive system or wherever it is applied

-Rejuvenating (Rasayana) - Castor oil is rejuvenating to the cells and the tissues of the body according to Ayurveda

Castor oil is also -

-Anti-inflammatory

-Antibacterial

-Extremely thick (viscous), moisturizing and emollient

-Rich in ricinoleic acid (about 85% to 96%)

-High in vitamin E and omega fatty acids

Top 7 Castor Oil Benefits for Dogs -

-Cancer or Tumor Growths - apply pure castor oil on your dog if your dog has tumors or cancerous growths since one of the most powerful qualities of castor oil is that it breaks up any abnormal growth on or inside the body or the skin. Applying castor oil on the cancerous site daily a few times can greatly help your dog's chance of fighting cancer.

This tip is so important for dog owners who truly love their dogs and are willing to put in the work withOUT compromising the dog's immune system by way of the (horrible) chemo or radiation or deadly drugs!!

Even better is that this is a 100% natural, safe, affordable and easy-to-find and easy-to-do remedy - one that dog owners can easily do a few times a day till the cancer or tumor growth completely goes away.

If your dog is dealing with cancer or any abnormal growths on the body, I would even advise that you slightly warm the castor oil and then apply. Mix a few drops of frankincense oil as well as black seed oil and now massage this remedy on your dog daily a few times and see the miracle!

Here I have just given you the exact full remedy for dogs with cancer..:)

Now all you have to do is give it a try and while we are at it, keep mum and don't tell your pharma-sponsored vet!!

-Doggie Constipation?! Ouch! - Just like humans, dogs can have 'stuck poo-poo' as it's often called in a doggie world and this can be easily solved with a few drops of castor oil.....believe it or not. 😀

As a doggie mom, I always watch my dogs' poop and make sure that each one of them (including my little puppy!) are going at regular times and pooping at least twice a day - I have to say luckily for me as an 'always-concerned' doggie mom, there are no poop issues with my dogs.....ever!

But if there were or if your dog has constipation or has eaten something that is blocking the colon, castor oil is a safe remedy - just a few drops for small dogs and about a small teaspoon for medium to large dogs is all you need to give internally. Start with the lowest dose and wait for a day before giving another dose.

Recently, like about 2 weeks ago on nextdoor app, there was a post about how the dog has stuck poop and will need urgent surgery - I was happy to read so many people coming out and speaking the truth that there is no need for 1000s worth of surgery and to just give the dog some castor oil. This tells me two things -

-that more and more dog owners are becoming aware of holistic, ancient, tried and tested remedies and choosing them instead

-and that people are aware of greedy vets and are finally waking up and saying 'no' - that dog owners are finally choosing to take matters in their own hands when they can and are even OK with the risks if at all but not looking to get fooled by the vets anymore..! Bravo.

Finally the owner updated that the dog was OK and was eating and has pooped a little and that there would be no surgery! I do not know what solved the problem but well, so many comments including mine on castor oil made my day!!

-Joints or Arthritis - Apply castor oil daily on your dog's joints to ease the pain and the discomfort. Castor oil works as a lubricant just like your car needs oil to run the machines properly otherwise there would be a lot of friction.

So, apply castor oil and you can even mix it with a few drops of olive oil or coconut oil to massage it on your dog's joints much easily. You may also add a few drops of black seed oil to the mix for more benefits. Do this daily as consistency is the key and you will see how much better your dog feels and experience first hand the miracle of castor oil!

-Skin Issues - Yup, you can apply castor oil on your dog's rash, dry itchy skin or wounds. You can mix it with some coconut oil or olive oil and then apply. Castor oil has powerful antibacterial and antimicrobial properties so it is an excellent remedy for dog skin issues.

-Doggie Cataracts or Red Eye or Dry Eyes - A drop of castor oil in the eye or massaging with the castor oil gently around the dog's eyes can do wonder for relieving eye conditions in dogs. While I do not know personally if castor oil can heal cataracts in dogs but humans have used castor oil for cataracts for centuries AND yes, castor oil was used in old times for helping dogs heal from cataracts so it is definitely worth a try! Better than eye surgery and better than chemicals laden, vet prescribed eye drops!!

My Poodle tends to get dry eyes and that also causes him to have a black toxic build-up on the side of his eyes so I started using castor oil daily in his eyes - just 1 drop in each eye at night and once during the day. I have been doing this daily for about almost 2 months and I can tell you that he has no dark black matter next to his eyes and his eyes seem moisturized and healthier.

I do the same now for my other dogs to prevent dry eyes and to regularly eliminate toxins from the eyes as dust, changing weather conditions, grass, allergens, chemicals, outdoor  pesticides, etc. can all cause irritations in the dog's eyes. Castor oil being so thick that it is and is rich in healing, moisturizing properties helps to create a healthy barrier between the eyes and the weather elements.

So, if your dog has dry, itchy or red eyes, you can give it a try and I hope this helps you.

6. Castor Oil for Dry, Painful or Sore Dog Paws - You can also use castor oil for healing dry, sore dog paws. Apply or massage a little on your dog's paws at night during your dog's bedtime so that the dog does have to go out for a walk or even in the house. This way the castor oil will have the chance to fully soak in the paws and work its healing magic during the night time.

7.
Castor Oil for Dog Lumps - Ever seen those small lumps or fatty lumps on a dog? Yup. One of my dog came up with that and all I did was massage castor oil daily on her fatty lump. I am happy to report that the fatty lump has almost shrunk back to almost being nonexistent.

It wasn't too big to begin with; much thanks to her home-cooked plant-based diet but I can say it was at most about the size of a quarter and then some...like maybe slightly bigger.

I have been diligently applying castor oil daily once or twice and it is now so tiny that it is hard to find!! I have no doubt that within a month it will be completely gone!

I tweaked the castor oil recipe and along with castor oil, I have added black seed oil + just few drops of thyme oil (for its antimicrobial properties so it can go deep and get rid of the toxins plus I really believe in thyme oil) so here is the remedy -

-Castor oil - 4 oz.

-Black seed oil - 1 oz.
-Thyme oil - 5-7 drops

This is the FIRST time in 20 yrs since I have been rescuing dogs that any of my dogs have had fatty lump and a hard lump. I know since we moved here to my parents', she hangs out mostly in the living room with my mom and she has a habit of eating tissue paper (since moving here) - full of toxins...

I can only say that this remedy is helping and I massage this on her 2x per day and in the small hard lump that she has just recently developed, there is already slight improvement.

So, I hope this helps you even more...

So, this is it for today! I love castor oil and always have a large size 32 oz. bottle of cold pressed, organic, hexane-free and UNrefined castor oil in my home.

Note - Castor oil is very powerful so make sure you use LESS of it than more as not much is needed for any of the conditions listed above. When giving to dogs internally, either work with a holistic vet or follow with the lowest dose possible as listed very clearly above.

Any recommendations? The previous castor oil I got gave my dog contact dermatitis. I recognized it too late and he lost a lot of his fur. It has since grown back.

I use the brand Seven Minerals and that is the only brand I have been using since many years now - consistent quality, great castor oil and I get the large 32 oz. bottle since castor oil doesn't go bad for yrs....and I use it regularly for myself and the dogs. Hope this helps!
